Check out Nike bringing it back to the old school ways, I’m feeling these.

As part of Nike’s vintage running collection and from an era prior to the iconic usage of Air units, the Challenger features a stream-lined profile with an upper including suede, nylon and mesh. Pre-yellowed midsoles are also added to the equation.

Funny thing the DADE FAM has been talking about doing something similar, I think we need to get it done Rawbert.

In hopes of offering a different approach to retail, Gucci will launch their latest pop-up shop style endeavor with their Gucci Icon-Temporary project. Six to seven marquee “tastemaker” events will play host to 2-3 week long pop-up shop including Art Basel Miami and Crosby Street, New York. In addition to sneakers and footwear from the in-line Gucci collection, DJ and music-maker Mark Ronson has designed a special capsule of sneakers with items releasing at each of the different locations. A full press release can be seen on HYPEBEAST.COM

Gucci Icon-Temporary is that method. The flash sneaker store will touch down in six or seven locations around the world where tastemakers gather, such as Art Basil Miami Beach, staying open for two or three weeks in each spot. The first stop on the tour will be Crosby Street in SoHo on Oct. 23. Other stops will include London, Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

Gucci Icon-Temporary units will feature 18 exclusive sneaker styles — 16 for men and two for women. Incorporating classic Gucci design elements such as the GG logo and a stylized version of the Gucci red-and-green web detail, each shoe has an embroidered “Limited Edition” label inside and a silver or gold metal dog tag hanging from the laces. Leather tags on shoe laces can be customized and embossed with a shopper’s initials.

On my way to Costco today, I drove by, as always, NYC graffiti heaven Phun Phactory, now known as 5 Pointz. But to my surprise, there it was completely buffed, no more graffiti on the walls of this once slaughtered place. Check out the article I found and see if you make sense of it.

“Something we never thought we’d see: LIC’s 5Pointz gets stripped” (http://www.liqcity.com)

Yesterday a very concerned and frantic tipster alerted liQcity that the infamous walls of 5 Pointz graffiti gallery were being painted over with a fresh coat of yellow paint. Sure enough, that was the case, but fear not (or cheer not, depending on your perspective), 5pointz is merely getting a free canvas reset, as the owners of the building were required to repaint as part of the necessary renovations after the recent stairwell collapse.

The builiding owners and the City are still disagreeing over the C of O, and many artists inside the Crane Street Studios have been given vacate orders. Some of the studio space is slated to return to some kind of factory usage, and 5pointz will still exist on the exterior walls. There are some new pieces all over the building, especially where the stairwell collapsed, and every evening the artists are there, diligently trying to keep up with the yellow paint machines

So I had Thursday off and it was nice and sunny so I decided to call my brother-in-law, who I never really get the chance to hang with on our own, and told him to get ready ’cause “we’re going to Six Flags Great Adventure” in NJ. This ridiculous amusement park, about an hour and a half outside of NYC, has 13 roller coasters and they’re all out of control. Start off with Superman, which I recommend riding in the front row, (it’s worth the wait ’cause you get the feeling that you are really soaring through the sky like Superman).

Next jump on The Great American Scream Machine, an older coaster that has seven loops. It’s an aight ride, jump in the back of this one for the best feeling.

One of the latest attractions to come to the park is the ride called Kingda Ka, the tallest and fastest roller coaster on Earth! Unfortunately, it hasn’t been working since mid-May, so instead we jumped on El Toro. “This shit right here I said right here this shit is Death!” That’s a little Katt Williams for those who don’t know, lol. Anyway, El Toro is a record breaking wooden coaster that put my balls in my throat, especially after the first drop. Definitely jump in the back row for this one.

The newest coaster in the park is Bizarro, a floorless looping coaster with special effects, but honestly after El Toro this shit did not faze me. Pick whatever seat you want on this one. Same goes for the Batman ride.

It seemed like the highlight of the park was going to be El Toro, but then came Nitro, a mega coaster with a crazy first drop. It also feels like a really long ride, which is great. Wait for the front row, you’ll thank me.

Things to know if you go, try not to bring any bags or food, unless you want to store them in a locker, and be careful what you wear, they check your t-shirts to see if you have any sexual or offensive content on them! If they don’t like what they see, they won’t let you in!

So holler at me if you’re up here and are down to go, ’cause I got me a season pass yeahhhhh boy!

Here’s my brother-in-law walking around dizzy from all the roller coasters and some pictures of me with my kitty cats.

I wanted so show you these pics separate from the other rides so you could see what I was talking about when I said this was just an insane roller coaster, check it.

I even had time for some biz even doe there is always time for biz, I got some more muscle for the DADE FAM from two of the toughest dudes out there check them.
